day at the met
We took our son to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the first time the other day. It was very nostalgic for me since I used to work there and knew every crevice and cranny back then. They have renovated the Greek and Roman wing since I was there and that was where we spent most of our time. He loved looking at the various sculptures of lions and 'mans', wondering why they all were missing their heads.
Then on to the African wing where we saw canoes fashioned to look like crocodiles {top picture}. That was a nice surprise since he was talking about wanting to see crocodiles all day and I had no idea if it would happen for him.
