triple almond chia pudding

Ever have one of those days?

Of course you have.

Well, today was one of those.

On the face of it it doesn't sound too bad. I scheduled cat feeding for a neighbor while she was away, offered to ship merchandise for a friend's online shop while she was away, and signed up for a food blogging photography class, all coinciding, consecutively, on one day.

All was good.

And then keys got involved. Keys to my friend's place were lost in the mail en route to my house. Keys to my neighbor's door were just gone. Mysteriously.

So after crawling around my house on all fours looking for them at 4 in the morning, I texted the cat owner, who was now in Berlin, and found out that another neighbor had her keys too and I could borrow them. But how to get them? I arranged to get his keys from his office on the Upper East Side, then traveled back to Brooklyn to get her keys out of his house. Then fed and pet the cat. Poor cat. Then traveled all the way back to Manhattan - to my job.

One plus was I found my friend's keys in all that searching, and was able to ship her merchandise that evening, from her house in Brooklyn. Then on to the photography class, which was in Manhattan. Whew, what a day!

And now all is right with the world, if a little busier than usual.

If you are a little busier than usual, check out this amazing recipe I found over at EverydayMaven. A no-bake, no-hassle, yummy, vegan, summertime treat. Don't let the grey, graininess fool you. It tastes really good.

  1. I would probably be screaming after one of those days! And wanting to slurp these up like it was my job.
