the noguchi museum

A funny thing happened on the way to the museum. We were barricaded by a throng of bicycles. It was kind of neat.

Every first Sunday of each month the Noguchi Museum offers a free craft/tour for kids and their families. We went this past Sunday for their Color craft - tie-dying napkins with natural dyes and vinegar and baking soda.

Mostly we hung out in their beautiful sculpture garden on a stunningly sunny day. The museum is housed in what used to be the sculptor's studio in LIC. It is a nice intimate place to hang out with pretty trees and a fountain.
