about me

Why blog?

Is it to impart information? To share stories? To find a community with which to share your life?

Yes, all of these are important, but is this why we blog?

Not really.

We bloggers are a strange breed. We revel in the rays of unseen attention. We are compulsive over sharers who have finally found our forum. With no one to shut us up. No one to walk away. It is really perfect.

I started blogging at the end of 2010, when my son had just turned one. At first it was to promote my line of knitted children's dolls. Then it was to write about my life with my son. And soon I was writing more about cooking than either of those two topics. It only made sense to begin again with Meadows Cooks.

I live in Brooklyn with my husband and four-year-old son. We like it here.

I write about vegan cooking, but not exclusively. I write about my battle with high cholesterol, but not exclusively. Sometimes I post about what I've read, or what I've done with my son lately.

Mostly I post about food. I hope you enjoy.
